Boston & Dorchester’s Best Outdoor Dining Spaces

The weather is getting warmer, and we couldn’t be happier about it. Outdoor dining experiences have come a long way in recent years, and they are a safer way to enjoy a contactless dining experience. We wanted to share some of Barchamped’s favorite outdoor dining spots based on their food, their cocktails, and of course their safety standards in place. If you are looking for a fun place to grab a bite this spring or summer you should definitely check out these places. And with the Barchamped app, you and your friends can easily make plans at these spots, split the bill, meet new people, and more!

50Kitchen: Southern Cuisine & Asian Fusion

Neighborhood: Dorchester

Must Try Dish: Shrimp & Grits

Must Try Side: Honey Fried Cornbread

Safety: Ordering experience is done completely through your phone with QR Codes, staff wear masks, and hand sanitizer is provided to all guests.

Opened on Dorchester Avenue in 2020, 50Kitchen has quickly become a staple in the Field’s Corner neighborhood. Head chef Anthony Caldwell is a Dorchester Native who dreamed of opening his own restaurant that pays homage to the rich cultural diversity of his neighborhood. This restaurant combines delicious southern staples with Asian fusion cuisine for a wholly unique experience. From delicious sandwiches like their 50K which features Chinese 5 Spice pulled pork with housemade BBQ sauces to their honey fried cornbread, you are sure to find a new favorite dish every time you visit.

Buttermilk & Bourbon: Great Cocktails & New Orleans Inspired Foods

Neighborhood: Back Bay

Must Try Dish: Buttermilk Fried Chicken.

Must Try Cocktail: B&B Hurricane

Safety: Ordering experience is done completely through your phone with QR Codes, staff wear masks, and hand sanitizer is provided to all guests.

Chef & Owner Jason Santos, who can be seen on TV alongside Gordon Ramesy on Hell’s Kitchen, has opened a variety of restaurants throughout the Greater Boston area. Buttermilk & Bourbon is a local favorite and is known for it’s delicious New Orleans inspired small plates. Their outdoor space is the perfect place to meet with friends and share delicious meals. Best of all the menu features never-changing staples like their fried chicken as well as new items that are added and removed seasonally like Nashville Hot Alligator Fries or Pulled Pork Croquettes. And if you are looking for an unforgettable cocktail, you need to try their B&B hurricane.

Dorchester Brewing Company: Great Beer & BBQ

Neighborhood: Dorchester

Must Try Drink: DBCO IRISH RED

Safety: Ordering experience is done completely through your phone with QR Codes, staff wear masks, and hand sanitizer is provided to all guests. Enforced foot traffic flow.

Featuring a great roofdeck, taproom, and gaming room, the Dorchester Brewing Company is the perfect place to grab a beer (or a flight) and enjoy skyline views of Boston with your friends. Since St. Patrick’s day was just last week, we couldn’t recommend anything other than their Irish Red. But, if IPA’s are more your speed you should try their Fuzz Haze. Over 2020, they have expanded their space to include a Hospervatory, an indoor greenhouse, a game room, restaurant and more.
